The top 5 gadgets that have made lockdown more bearable

Over the past year, people have been finding new hobbies and gadgets to get them through spending so much time at home… While some have turned to Netflix and other streaming services, others have turned to consoles, while others have spent more time in their kitchens.

Here is our breakdown of the Top 5 Lockdown gadgets:

Hot Tubs

The weather is finally getting warmer, which will surely see another rise in sales in hot tubs around the UK. Last summer, you couldn’t go on social media without seeing one for sale for a ridiculous price after major chains like B&M sold them for amazingly cheap prices.

Bestway Lay Z Spas are always the top sellers due to their ease of use. Simply attach the inflator valve to the tub, then attach the ‘egg’ and fill it with water. A day later you have a hot tub in your garden ready to relax.

Soupmakers

Over the winter, who doesn’t want a warm mug of homemade soup for lunch? The perfect way to use leftovers, most soupmakers are so simple to use that you can have warming soup within half-an-hour. What’s more, most also make excellent smoothies and, even better, cocktails for when the warm weather arrives.

Computer consoles

Computer consoles have been a welcome relief during the lockdowns for both children and adults alike. With most Xboxes and Playstations now offering cross-platform online playing, games have been a way to keep up social contact with friends and family online, avoiding those awkward Zoom silences.

And, with the newer consoles available, Xbox Ones and PS4s are now available at a lower price so it won’t break your bank to re-enter the gaming world.

Treadmills and exercise bikes

Okay, so we know we’re allowed outside to exercise, however, when it’s pouring with rain, drizzling or snowing, do you really fancy it? Treadmills and exercise bikes, alongside free weights, have been essential for a lot of people during these lockdowns. We need exercise, not just for our body, but for our mental health too.

Coffee makers

With a lot of people working from home, the need to grab a quick coffee and head to the office has gone. We can afford the time to brew a freshly ground cup of the black stuff each morning to savour. Supermarkets like ALDI and LIDL have had recent special buys where you can get an espresso machine for as little as £30!!!

Team this up with an electric coffee grinder, unless you want huge forearms when we exit lockdown – in which case get a manual one, and you can taste the difference every morning.
