Tis The Season to Indulge Posted On 24 November 2021

Your Guide to a Luxury Christmas

Each Christmas seems to come around more quickly than the last. During the festive season, your home becomes your haven: place to snuggle up in after a frosty winter walk, a retreat after a drinks party with friends. Bringing a little bit of luxury to your home will help create a festive period to remember.

Selecting a seasonal scent for your home will spark a sense of nostalgia and instant hygge when you walk through your door. Candles are an excellent way to create an enticing aroma in your house. Think fresh pine, warming cinnamon, and sweet gingerbread for instant Christmas appeal. Candles are dual purpose, as well as incorporating delicious scents within your home, they have the ability to enhance the atmosphere with their low-level lighting.

Choosing a Christmas colour scheme will ensure your home has a sense of cohesion rather than Christmas overload. Opting for elegant, neutral hues such as gold, silver, and green will allow to space to come together seamlessly. Continuing the colour scheme across your tabletop will ensure the dining décor is as memorable as the menu. Create a runner of foliage to act as a centrepiece and pair with simple, elegant dinnerware.

Christmas is a fantastic time to continue to support local businesses, why not contact your local florist to arrange a centrepiece if you don’t have time to collate one yourself. Don’t forget to source your food locally too, contact your local butcher well in advance to ensure they are able to cater for your needs.

Another luxury to plan in advance is the advent calendar. Why not shelve the cardboard versions this year and make something altogether classier? You could decorate a set of 24 small wooden drawers, fill them with champagne truffles and mini bottles of gin or whisky for the adults or fill children’s with small gifts and treats.

Decorating your home can be a great way to bring the family together and being the festive period in style – why not start this weekend?
