The summer is a wonderful season of the year to move home - for a number of reasons.

The old adage states that moving home can be one of the most stressful things a person can do, however that does not necessarily have to be true.

Here are three top reasons why moving in the summer could be a good choice for you.

The sun is in your favour

It is well-known that the summer is the time of the year with the longest days.

Simply put, the more sunlight you have for your big moving day, the better, as you will have more time to get your furniture and valuables moved inside.

Trust us, you will really appreciate a couple more hours of natural light to move those fiddly boxes into your sparkly new home and start to unpack them.

Having the extra sunlight into the late afternoon and evenings will also give you an extra bit of time to take a quiet stroll around your new surroundings and start to discover more about your new location.

Moving can sometimes be a tricky time for the younger members of our households.

When it comes to their school life, it can potentially be disruptive to pack them up and move them to a different school midway through the school year.
